Petronas set to expand role in Turkmenistan
Bravo....its about time we upped our investment in this CIS nation, once touted as
'The Next Great Game' - in geopolitical terms (& oil) by none other than the CIA & KGB!
I'm glad I have had a small pioneering contribution in an IDB consulting assignment
way back in 1998 (during 'the you know what!') - as a project expert - trained &
provided consulting to The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan
(TFEB/Vnesheconombank). Among the biggest projects appraised was for the mega
project - 'Modernisation of the Turkmenbashi Oil & Gas Refinery'...among others.
